Rome is the 28th most populous city in Georgia, with a population of 37,509. It is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and is home to Floyd County’s county seat. As one of Northwest Georgia’s largest cities and the 26th biggest in the state overall, Rome holds considerable influence over its region.
