The Rogue is Nissan’s best-selling vehicle and offers more attractive styling, new interior tech, and improved performance. In the past, the Rogue has done well against segment leaders such as the Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, and Volkswagen Tiguan but wasn’t as good overall. With this redesign, Nissan turns its money maker up a notch in an attempt to shake off its history of mediocrity–something we think has been largely successful.

As with the previous generation Rogue, the 2021 model comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, but it now offers 181 horsepower. The previous generation was very criticized for its lackadaisical acceleration and clumsy handling. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive will be standard; all-wheel drive is optional.
It is estimated that front-wheel drive Rogues with 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines deliver up to 27 mpg city and 35 mpg highway; all-wheel drive models will deliver up to 26 mpg city and 33 mpg highway.
On the dashboard of the 2021 Rogue, there is an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, but SL and Platinum models have a bigger 9.0-inch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, while high-end features, such as in-dash navigation and a Bose stereo system, are optional.
