New Car Dealer Groups – Day Supply Q1 and Q2 2022 (PDF)
Low New Car Inventory lingers for a second quarter in a row.
Days’ supply of new vehicles at the US’s six major dealership groups remains low due to production delays, parts shortages and unseasonably high demand.
Penske Auto Group for example had a 12-day supply of new vehicles in the U.S. at the end of June, up from nine days at the end of March and eight at the end of December.
Similarly, Asbury Auto Group said it had a 13-day supply of new vehicles at the end of June, up from just 10 days at the end of March.
Below is a day-supply table for the top six, comparing Q2 2022 to Q1 2022 and Q2 2021.
